A first trip out to sea for kids and teens aged 8 to 17. They'll learn the parts of the catamaran, hoist the sail and feel the wind as they sail the bay together with an instructor on board.

Our catamaran sailing school is designed for children and teens aged 8 to 17, organised into groups by age and level so each one learns at their own pace. No prior experience is needed: we start with the basics, from the parts of the boat and knots to how to harness the wind. The catamaran is a very stable, safe boat, perfect for first steps in sailing, and youngsters with experience progress to more technical manoeuvres and greater autonomy. The only essential requirement is being able to swim and feeling comfortable in the water.
The safety of the children is our top priority. All participants wear a certified life jacket at all times in and near the water. Groups are small and led by qualified instructors experienced in teaching children and teens. During outings, a safety dinghy always accompanies the catamarans and can step in immediately if needed. We sail within Dénia's sheltered bay, with calm waters, and only go out in weather conditions suitable for the group's level. Before each session we go over the safety rules with the youngsters.
We offer weekly and fortnightly courses, as well as single sessions, so they fit each family's holiday calendar. Each day combines a brief theory part on land with practice on the water, where the youngsters spend most of their time. Sessions usually last between two and three hours and include rigging and de-rigging the boat, a fundamental part of the learning. We work in progressive levels: beginner, improvement and autonomy. At the end of the course, participants receive a certificate reflecting the skills they've gained.
We provide the catamarans, the life jackets and all the necessary nautical equipment. Your child only needs to bring a swimsuit, a rash vest or a t-shirt that can get wet, dry spare clothes, a cap, sunglasses with a strap, water-resistant sunscreen, footwear that can get wet (water shoes or secure sandals), a towel and a water bottle. We recommend applying sun protection before arrival and avoiding valuables. On cooler days, a light windbreaker is useful. All personal gear should be labelled with their name to avoid losses.
